I decided to allow myself some carbs today, but not sugar. I really want to eat in a sustainable way, and I don't want to cut whole food groups. it does seem as though weight is beginning to roll off, so perhaps I shouldn't change anything. However, I'd hate to lose weight only to gain it back everytime I decide to live a little.

COVID
no point in waiting until 2021. I began the year.makong positive changes. I cut sugar completely for a week, no longer craved it and was managing to make healthier choices for about 3 months. that combined with 1 hour of walking during my commute daily and the pounds rolling off. the only issue was that I didn't have a scale at the time. I have now had a working scale for a bit over a month. I learned that after working for home for 9 months and not making an effort to exercise, I put on so much weight....I just don't know how much. however, any one who knows me could easily tell I was in the worst shape of my life. I finally saw what others see when I saw Julia's pictures of me, taken days before my birthday. that's when I knew something had to change. that also happened to be the same week Mark decided to try Leto. He lost about 10 pounds the first week. While I didn't jump on the bandwagon, I have been following his journey. I coordinated the neighbours to start walking daily, and I have been reducing my sugar intake. Guess what, a month later I'm down 6 pounds. No dramatic results, bit then again I haven't taken dramatic action. I think it's time I admit to myself that I want to lose weight .
