I've been eating my home made chicken noodle soup and chili all week along with my yogurt and protein powder. This could be better. I say this because I've had pasta and/or cheese with the chili and the cns has noodles...pasta. Yesterday my boss bought our department pizza to thank everyone for working so hard the past couple of weeks. Of course, I had 3 pieces. UGH! Why didn't I just eat my soup?? I feel swollen today and when I woke up, I didn't have that excitement and proud feeling about the day before. I really prefer the way I feel after a day of clean eating.
Today after work, I am going to the store and getting stuff for salad so I can get more veggies in me. That is what is lacking in my diet this week. I can eat this along with my soup. I also plan on going to ST this coming Saturday morning.
So I'm disappointed in myself for making bad decisions. This is different than the disappointment of the past because it's not a devastating blow that makes me want to quit. This is me accepting that I made a choice and it was not the right one for me at this time and next time I will make the right choice.
I think I owe this change in how I'm thinking to my decision to change myself...really change...and Swing This because of the crazy support from the people there. I don't want to disappoint myself or any of those people. Yeah, I'm paying for membership, but that, which I thought would be a factor in my motivation, the money, has nothing to do with it. I don't know how to explain it. Joe is so honest and brings you into that world honesty and the pride that comes with it, there is nothing to hide behind.
So anyway, I've had a bad week. I accept that I chose to make my week that way. I now choose to make the correct choices and continue to learn from my choices, whether they be good or bad.
No hiding.

I had numerous carbs from Thurs-Sun. I knew it was going to happen and I had planned, as much as I could, for it. Still ate good around it, but too many days in a row. Cheat is supposed to be 1 day, not several.
Due to that, Fri, Sat, and this morning's workouts were very difficult. I had NO energy, strength, stamina...hard to breath! UGH! Proof that I'm heading in the right direction by putting good, whole foods into my body.
Anyway, I have a few pounds back on cause of it and not getting enough water. So today is a new day and I know what to do. On a good note...I'm down 2+ inches in my waist!! Nothing lost in my arms or chest or legs. It will come. Oh! And my arms do look less 'flabby'. :-)

I needed a pick-me-up this morning. Soooo tired and thoughts of not wanting to work out today running through my head. But last night's anticipation of weighing myself this morning came through. Down 3 more pounds!!!
That is 10 pounds in 3 1/2 weeks. This Saturday will be 4 weeks since I started at Swing This. Insane!!
Now I kinda can't wait to get over there and get at it. I am still very tired-not a restful night of sleep I guess.
Yay!! :-)

TeeHeeHee!! OK, I weighted myself. Down 2 more lbs! So that makes 7 lbs. since the 20th and an inch in my waist.
I am SO fortunate to be able to train with the tri-state's best personal trainer as voted by City Beat magazine last year. Didn't know that when I signed up, but this is just what I wanted and why.
Had no idea the people who go there would be SO wonderful. Joe says he's never seen a gym like what he has here, the community it creates is like no other. :-)
So before I head over there, here's what I know...
Breakfast - plain, non=fat, greek yogurt with vanilla protein powder, ground flaxseed, almonds and organic raspberries.
Lunch - veggie soup with quinoa/spinach/parmesan meatballs.
Dinner - this week's mexican dish I will be cooking up.
