Long walk last night with a break for the ice cream parlor with three dogs who were all very, very good! I think this is the first time I’ve taken Summer to an indoor place. Pizza doesn’t count because it’s a patio. Twenty minute row #97, one of my favorite rows I’ve done so far; long, fast pulls all in excess of a minute. I don’t really choose them, they get suggested and I pick my minutes and music, this one was just really great so I saved it in my stack.

Took seven bags of stuff to the Goodwill yesterday. Have some more items in the wash that will go next weekend. I have been slowly replacing undergarments the past six month and it was time to let go of some old favorites. I have some fairly new athletic shoes that I’m going to drop off at the school next week. I have smaller feet, so I know they’ll find a kid that needs shoes. I’d rather they just get them rather than having to buy them. As far as the donations, I was fairly good about putting stuff in the bag and just letting it go. I did end up pulling a pair of old Keds with the baseball theme out and keeping them because they’re just so stinking cute. Wore them all day yesterday. I just needed to decrease the volume in my closet.

Yesterday, had a scoop of fancy ice cream (walked there), beef tenderloin (erroneously thought it was a filet mignon) and bread with no adverse effects. Skipped most veggies, but will make up for it later. 🥗 Stayed within my upped calories for the day and the numbers are good this morning. No apologies, holiday weekend and it’s good to get away from chicken all the time.

Plan for today is similar, although I’m going to hold off pulling more bags of stuff until next Friday. I don’t want it all over the house all week.

Blob up, muscle holding. I’m going to stick with 100g of protein as daily goal.

Medium walk last night, sabotaged by conversation with neighbor about one of the gems of our neighborhood going up for sale. Then, decided to hang out in the park since it was a pleasant day and watched squirrels taunting us from the trees and power lines. Summer is a wisp of a dog, but she snaps into hunter over small game. Interesting to observe the instincts overriding everything else.

Twenty minute row, #96, on the books. When I hit #100, I’m going to compare numbers. Today is at the forefront though and we are going to use the technical terms. Blob is way down, muscle up, water is decent so I’m not dehydrated to get there. It’s honestly the combo of walking and rowing responsible for the change, I think. I’d love to think swimming was in there, but I don’t get to it enough. That said, the infrequency keeps it from being a grind like it was when I was in the pool four hours a day five days a week. That will make you fall out of love with a lot of things. Things that I’ve noticed: underwear fits better. Nothing dramatic, but no digging, slipping off or belly popping out of the top. Great visuals, huh? 🤔

Gonna stop now because there’s some stuff going on that’s making me a little annoyed and I need to move past it. Don’t let the actions of others control your mood or your day. That gives them too much power.
