Today is a huge day for me. I met my goal weight!!!
40 lbs in 8 months+3 weeks.
On Monday (after Thanksgiving week), I'll reset to a new goal of 130 lbs. But I'm going to float on Cloud 9 for a bit and enjoy having arrived at my first destination.

The last month has been difficult. I made the conscious decision to start creatine, knowing full well that I would likely put on a few pounds of water during the loading phase.
I was not wrong. 😅
I probably should have gotten off that last pound and a half before starting, because I went from 1.5 lbs to goal, to 4 lbs from goal. 😭
At this point, it's unclear how much is water, how much is new muscle 💪 and how much fat I might have shed, if any.
Definitely starting to see some definition! Ready for that scale to start moving back in the right direction.
I've stuck firmly to my 1500 calories, upped my protein into the 30% range, and I'm not missing any workouts.
Just hanging in there through the roller coaster!! 🎢🎢

Someone on here recommended overnight oats, and I can't remember who it was, but thank you. Now it's a million times easier to get my daily protein! 💕

Does anyone have experience with body recomposition? Good or bad?
I am 1.4 lbs from my initial goal weight, but I'd like to slim down another 15 lbs. However, I'm sure I lost a lot of muscle mass in this slim down, and due to my age, I need to build some muscle. The grandkids need a healthy, strong, active Gigi!
So I've been looking into body recomp, but bumping up calories 2 days a week is a bit frightening. 😱
I bet some of you guys have experience! Help a Gigi out?
