picking up the pounds again. I know I am limited on what I can do physically cause of my recent back surgery but I feel like I ha e been using that as more of a pass to not do anything and I keep saying to myself I will go on a diet tomorrow or Monday. then I pig out all day cause once I go on that diet I won't be able to eat all these delicious things for a while. then tomorrow comes and my diet, cone to find out, is still in the planning phase so I have to reschedule "D day" yet again. this is getting out of control and I know I need to buckle down and do this cause the longer I wiat the harder it'll be. getting started is the hardest part

I totally get it! I need to buckle down too, and get the mental determination going again. Let's root for each other, that our bodies may benefit by the choices that we make, 1 day at a time!

Absolutely, I am going to have to restart my day now and try harder. I think if I break it down meal by meal instead of day by day that will eliminate my excuse to splurge after a slip up. Thanks for the support. We can do this mind over matter! Hope you ha e a great day and (you and I both) make some good choices.

i understand this cycle all too well. what id recommend trying is to choose 1 or 2 things to change. for example: have fruit with breakfast or veggies with dinner. when that is easy, add in 1 more thing. rinse and repeat until you are at the diet you aspire to acheive. this systematical approach is small short term change towards a bigger picture of long term change. i used to keep a specific calendar on my kitchen fridge towards these incremental changes.

and if something just isn't working, adjust it to something that you know is attainable. then "slip ups" become "learning opportunities" by design, that mindset of "let me eat everything and go 100% on this seemingly impossible diet" usually leads to another binge, because your repeating the same cycle. instead plan to have those "binge" foods as part of your calorie count; Allow it, and plan for it. Instead of a binge, you eat a normal amount of that ice cream, cake, cookies, beer, chips... etc... i hope these tips help with creating a healthier approach to diet changes. it drastically helped me with binge eating disorder!
