Two perfect days of induction, lost some weight too, but then two really iffy days after that! For my party on Friday, I tried to prepare ahead and stay vigilant. Had a wonderful omelet earlier and some coffee and was planning to eat very little at the party. Started the party with some salad and this fake meat crumbles' ragu sauce which was quite filling (skipped the spagetti) and thought i'd make a meal of that. However, I succumbed to these zucchini kababs (zucchini fried in a chick pea paste) and served over a bed a biryani rice...I had several of those kababs and a little bit of rice. Also had 2 pieces of dough-fried fake seafood, a small sliver of apple tart, and a small piece of turkish rice pudding. I abstained from alcohol--even the champagne that I popped, and poured, and pretended to drink--but didn't drink!! I even ended up having some of the chilli I'd made (contained beans, and tomato sauce--both were higher carbs for induction). Finally after every one left, I ended up eating the beer nut mix, 2 corn breads, and some of the pita chips! Had a little bit of wine too..but 1-2 sips or so, and I fell asleep! lol!

Saturday I tried to redeem this damage and saw that I'd only gained a pound from last night's debacle so was determined to do better today. I also had a omelet for a late brunch and coffee. Went out to an art festival in the city which involved a lot of restaurant, gallery, and bar hopping where my friends were constantly ordering food and drinks and it was quite hard to say no so often and not feel like a wallflower! But at the first place, I started well and had only a lemon soda, and a salad (gave the cranberries to my friend, but did have the almonds in it), had some goat cheese on the side, and couldn't resist a small piece of the crusty bread, and also had 3-4 rosemary fries--they looked so good! At the next place (a wine bar) I also skipped alcohol and had coffee! At dinner, I opted for a grilled veggie salad with blue cheese crumbles and blue cheese dressing (all low carb, right?), and wanted something solid and fillign, so had 4 pieces of fried tofu with ranch dressing (possibly some carbs in tofu? so I felt a little guilty)...it wasn't perfect, but I did good, I think. Didn't have any cocktails there, or the bar we went to later for a live band performance.
So as I write the above, I realize I haven't done as badly, and yet when I came home I was feeling a little bad at my less-than-perfect day that would again take me out of induction. So I ended up finishing the bag of pita chips--and had a small far of three musketeers!! Felt totally gross and sinful afterward!

This morning, surprisingly, the weight dropped a little! Fri after 2 perfect days of induction, it was down to 138.6, yesterday it raised to 139.4, and today it dropped down again to 137.4!!! Yay!!!!!! I am now determined to hold on to this losing streak and stay dedicated to my induction goals!! On that note, I'm going today to my 4 hour long self-defense class, and then to a comedy show. We are having dinner first and I checked the menu for what I can eat and will have a iceberg salad with blue cheese or a ceaser salad, and a side of spinach artichoke dip (with veggies instead of chips!). I have already had a brunch of the leftover salad from yesterday with blue cheese and feel quite full. Hopefully that will tide me over for 7-8 hours until dinner. Definitely no drinks, and not even soda...Bottled water, yeah baby! Wish me luck!!!
