Workout today was a little slow and less than usual. Put in only an hour and 15 mins total. Treadmill for 30, which had 2 runs of 5 mins each.And then my total body workout class which focused on the butt, thighs and legs to the point my lower body was tired and sore. She made us do 4 cadio spurts of bouncing off and on as fast as you can on the bench for 1 min each and that totally kicked my butt! I bailed on the last 15 mins of the abs class coz I was tired and I didn't like my workout pants today--they kept slipping off the ball off them and would have made it difficult to do any abs-exercies. Oh, and I was also starting to feel nauseous for some reason...and it persisted all the way until coming home. I didn't feel like eating, but my stomach was hungry, so I made myself eat and I feel fine now. Weird!

Oh, and I also did 2 sets of bicep curls on the bozu ball with 10 pd weights and 15 reps.

Meals:
Brunch: veggie patty (2 pts) with veggies
coffee with creamer (1)
protein shake with protein mix (1.5), banana (2), 3 strawberries and blueberries (1), soy milk (.5), ff yogurt (1 pt): total 6 pts
snack: melon (.25); veggie hummus (2 pts)
dinner: chickn stir fry (3 + 1 for oil)
protein shake (1.5) with 3 strawberries (0.5) and soy milk (0.5)
Total: 17.25 pts



Memo to myself: I am totally falling behind on my strength training routine, running, and all the core work!! Gotta get to it starting tomorrow! Even if it means nearly 3 hours in the gym!!!

Great job with points AND exercise today! Good thing you got some food in your belly to take away the nausea. You obviously needed it. An hour and 15 minute workout is really good. I feel lucky if I get a half hour in! Keep up the good work! :) YOU, My Dear, are heading into the 130's!!!!!!! (((HUGS)))

I agree - an hour and 15 minutes is a very good workout! You don't want to burn out. Congrats on NO NUTS for the day! :)

Yes, don't belittle your time in the gym. I think you did great. Remember that pushing yourself too hard can end in disaster. Perhaps it would be better for you to do cardio and strength training on alternating days rather than both everyday. It is supposed to be better for your muscles to give them the rest day to recover and heal, too. Anyway, you had a stellar day with food and exercise. Well done!

ONLY 1 hr and 15 min?!? That's a good amount of exercise! Please listen to your body and don't burn out! Remember this is for the long term. If you consistently work out like you did now (no need for 3 hr workouts!!!) you'll be where you want to be. I agree w/Evelyn. Alternating Cardio w/weight training is a good option. Have a great weekend!
