Day of transition 2: Still work in progress!

Some measure of success and yet not perfect in other ways. Woke up by about 4 hours later than planned, so my schedule got pushed back. Other stuff at work took precedence and took longer than expected. As a result, 2 pm or so rolled around and I still hadn't gone to the gym, and it was getting after lunch time. So I decided to just come home, have lunch, get 4 hours of writing done, and then go the gym in the evening. Well, evening turned to night, and I finally went to the gym at 11.15 pm!!! I only did 30 mins there..got a little bored and lazy to try hard at that time.

Ran for 7.5 mins and walked the rest, and did a total of 2.30 miles in 32 mins. No weights or anything!

Tomorrow, gotta STICK TO THE PLAN!!! That means, wake up on time, get work done, go to the gym in the evening, do my fav total body class and before that running, and watch my points religiously!

Meals today were within my points, but not very proud of its contents:
Brunch: chick pea curry with a small piece of flatbread (2 pts)
coffee with cream (2-3 pts)
late lunch: chick pea curry (1 pt), and scrambled eggs with veggies, meatless crumbles, and flatout bread and cheese (5 pts)
snack: 2 little pieces of sample cheese in grocery story (1 pt?)
dinner: not really...but after reading about the nuts on my journal yesterday, and all the admonishments, I got up to throw out the box, and instead felt tempted to have 1 piece...and then next thing I know I must have had like 10-12 almonds, a couple brazil nuts, and a few peants (I'd say 4-6 points)

Consequence: I feel a bit of heart burn from the salt and the fat..not the mention the guilt! I HAVE FINALLY THROWN OUT THE DAMN BOX!!! JEEZ!!! Talk abt lack of self-control and prime example of mindless self-indulgence!!!!


Total pts: no more than 18 pts

A little self-sabotage might be lurking on the corner..wonder if that's what tonight's nut fiesta was about? I did see a lowest number on the scale this mornign--141.1 (soooo close to 130s!!!)...

I did a drastic thing and PUT AWAY MY SCALE...not to see my weight until NEXT TUESDAY!!!!! Meanwhile, continue doing all the right things, and I WILL SEE THE RESULTS...what was it that Ev that said once, "I need to not get in the way of my own success" or something like that!!!

WOOOHOOO! Congrats on throwing out the nuts!!! I knew you could do it! And, as a reward, I'm not even gonna pooh, pooh the nutty dinner issues : ) And a second CONGRATS on the new lowest number showing up on the scale! Great job banishing the scale for a week. I'm sure that will do wonders for your daily state of mind. 130's, here she comes!

Um, she said she threw out the BOX not the NUTS, evelyn! The box was probably EMPTY! :p Great job, 08, on going to the gym even though it was late. Hope your alarm clock works better today so you can stay on track! Big congratulations on the low scale reading. You are doing great! Thanks for putting up with my teasing!

You made it to the gym even after a very busy day! Kudos to you! AND you stuck within your points limit (even though it wasn't the most nutritious food..LOL). So I'd say you had a SUCCESSFUL day! Good idea putting away the scale till next Tuesday. It might give you the extra motivation you need to get into the 130's! (((HUGS)))) :)
