Woke up WAY later than I had planned on this morning (by 6 hours!!),...plus, TOM arrived this morning, and made his appearance very PAINFULLY obvious!! I spent half the day trying to catch up on work that was delyaed by the 6 hours of sleep, and distractions and groanings borne out of TOM's presence....took a nap around 5 pm, and was woken up by my friend's call reminding me to go out tonight! I PANICKED then. To be or not be. To go out or not to go out. And how the hell am I supposed to get everything done!

I tried to rationalize and re-plan, and then said, "What the hell! Life's too short!". So, as a result, I didn't do much else (not even working out), and instead, got ready and went out to dinner and then later to this cool private lounge called Foundation Room atop House of Blues (this is a chain, and if anyone gets a chance--definitely check it out!!)...The place rents at 8k per month to corporations for their fancy shindigs....it was very seductive and opulant, kinda Morocco meets Russian Tea Room!! My bio picture here in blue is from tonight.

For dinner, we went to a new Vietnamese restuarant, and after a little inner debating, I decided to skip my favorite dish with noodles and fried spring rolls, (i.e., carbs and fat), and settled for a tofu stir fry (boring! and something I make at home anyway!), but I thought the worse in that is just the salt and oils..at least there's no carbs, and I'd hope that the sauce would be different from what I make at home...eh...it wasn't anything to write home about...the ambience was great though. I skipped the great-lookin cocktails, desserts, apps, etc. And ate only half of my entree, and got the other half to take home.

After that, at the Foundation room, once again I stayed away from the fabulous cocktail specials, and had a glass of red wine instead. I hope that was a better choice..we'll see.

I left the party not too late and came home at a surprisingly early hour--12.45 am(I wanted to come home and get some work done, and also get an early start tomorrow morning). I did come home and finish the remaining part of my dinner :( My excuse is that I plan to be up late, and need some sustenance!
