Felt spent pretty much all day today. I did go to the gym in the morning, but did only 45 mins (30 mins elliptical and 15 mins bike). Started to do weights, but found it was difficult to lift, so gave up. The bike totally made me sweat, though, so at least some cardio happened. I don't know why I've been feel so de-energized and spent. Possibly because it's Friday, or possibly on account of my period which is draining me out. I tried to work, but did only a little bit. Took an afternoon nap, which made me even more despondent. However, I finally dragged my butt and went out to get some errands done, including grocery-shopping.

Things looked a little too tempting in the store...all sorts of cheeses, chips, chocolates were seductively beckoning me...I finally decided to have a carrot muffin. I had done fine on points so far, so I could afford to have one. Picked up some interesting items to experiment with: Tempeh, a lettuce wrap meatless stuffer, and shirotake noodles made with tofu (only 3 g of carbs! 20 cal, 0.5 fat, and 2 g of fiber). Also picked up a new brand of whey protein mix (100% protein).

Came home and made lettuce wraps with a slightly modified recipe. Instead of just cooking the stuffers, I sauteed them in garlic, hot chilli pepper, diced green bell pepper and mushrooms--this gave it a nice kick. And to sweeten the deal, I had them with a peanut dip--turned out pretty good (picture attached).

I have done well with water intake, my total points count, and basic workout (hell! I worked out all week this week! Pretty darn good @ 350 mins....will upgrade to 500 minutes next week). Weight increased slightly (0.2 pds, but still an overall loss of 1.2 lbs from next week, so I'm happy).

All the excuses are out of the way: Last week was the memorial day inevitable binging, this week was my period...hence I'll accept the 1.2 pd loss each week so far. However, for the remaining 6 weeks of the challenges, I hope to see at least a 1.5 to 2 lb loss every week--I'll ramp up the eexercises, and that should help (oh! I also picked up 4 cheapo workout dvds on hula dancing, hula abs, and pilates for wimps!!!). I'm collecting quite the collection here...well, the goal is to start using them next week, so they don't COLLECT DUST!!

Ok, gotta get ready and go to a party (plan to drink only sodas, and not eat anything, coz I already ate dinner)...will be out late, I expect, so workout tomorrow will have to be later in the day.

Meals and points:
Breakfast: cereal and soy milk (4)
1 part-skim mozzarella stick (2)
Lunch: 1 veggie burger patty (2)
1 ricecake (1)
Snack:
1 glass light vanilla soy milk (1)
1 regular orange muffin (6?)
Dinner: Lettuce wraps with meatless mix (0.5), with 1/2 pepper, 2 musrooms, hot chiili, and crushed peanuts (3), and peanut dip (2)

Total points: 21.5

How comes you are always going out? You must be the most social person I know! I think I might have to visit..just to get a social life...can I share yours?? Well you are certainly sounding more motivated at the moment..good to hear..must be that wonderful feel great motivational challenge you are on right now..ahem !

haha! yes, there's never a dearth of social stuff to do, and as I said on Massiverally's journal, hanging out and going out so frequently is one of the boons of being single (oh yeah, there are many banes therein as well, but oh well!). Yeah, you can totally share my life--ain't trading with you, though;) Don't know if I can handle raising kids! Yeah, by all means, come on down to visit me--we'll paint the town red--and you can feel single again!!! :) Meanwhile, yeah, your challenge (as well as the other one that I'm on), are totally helping stay on track--thanks for all the effort! I have to say, yesterday was a low-day as far as energy and motivation went...but weirdly, a lot of us seem to be feeling that way here, as I go around reading other journals. What is up with the mood here? We need to do something to shake out of our collective despondency, ennui, fatigue, and sadness..!!

PARTY PARTY...LETS HAVE A PARTY!!*TOOTING THOSE PARTY TOOTING TOOTER THINGYMYBOBBYS* WHOSE FEELING DOWN?..I have an idea...lets all go to 08s house and party all night long!! Whatcha mean we're not single, are we all singles at heart???

hahah!! Caged, is that the next mini challenge? Coming down to my place and having a grand old PAR-TAY?! I believe, if anyone, you are totally capable of arranging that!

Why not..we could choose somewhere cheap like las vegas..that way no matter where you are, it will be cheap to fly out to..and they usually throw in a free few chips with the airline ticket dont they? Drink,play and be merry..and find a couple of hotties hopefully.(hey give me some leeway..I may be married, but I am not blind or heartless!)

yeah, sounds like a plan! It can be like an SATC-style adventure :) And who said losing weight wasn't a fun journey!! ;)

God you and your SATC..btw..I have NEVER seen the show! (I think I tried once but all I saw was kissing, sex, kissing..and more sex! Was blushing so much that my eyes became blurry!)
