Good day today..motivation is back and here to stay!!

Last night I was up until 2 am, and still didn't get my manuscript review completed, so I had to wake up at 7 am to complete it. I managed to do so, and send it off by 10.30 am. Due to the lack of sufficient sleep, I was feeling pretty tired at various moments during the writing, and felt tempted to just take a little nap...but I didn't succumb and kept on going--and miraculously, my tiredness started to fade and I was able to have good energy for my workout.

I did 30 mins on the elliptical at almost double the pace from yesterday (thus burning 255K). I also did about 30 mins of free weights (biceps, lateral raises, shoulders). Oh! and before working out, I had the beginnings of a headache, but again, miraculously, by the end of the workout I was surprised to find it had disappeared!

After returning from the gym, I had some cereal, got ready and decided to go work from a coffee-shop. BY the time I got ready, I was already feeling hungry and debated about what to do for lunch. I thought I'd have a healthy treat and eat at a middle-eastern eatery near home. But when I checked online for their nutrition info, I got some dubious, mixed numbers...even their lentil or chilli soup was kinda higher in points and LOTS of sodium! Weirdly, their basic salad seemed to be high in points as well (sans dressing), so with these suspect numbers, I decided to stay on the side of conservative and skip this place today. Decided instead to go to subway again (even though the bread would be carb-y, I really needed something substantial than the boring contents of my fridge permitted). I did good at subway. Chose wholewheat bread, all the veggies, and went with the fat free dressings (salt/pepper and spicy mustard), and two triangles of cheese.

Later at the coffee-shop, I drank a large bowl of coffee, and managed to get over my fatigue again. I was quite productive there...I edited a manuscript and sent it off for review. I started working on the second manuscript that's gonna need substantial work..but drafted a plan for the edits, so tomorrow I should be able to get most of this done, if not completely finished. This is encouraging.

On the way back, I stopped by at the grocery store and picked up some temporary groceries to allow some healthy eating in the time I can go to get all the produce etc. from the farmers' market.

Came home and had a good dinner (veggie patty and a bag of steamed veggies--simple, nutritous and filling!!).

I am gonna finish journaling here and go for my evening walk for an hour (I was tired earlier, but hopefully this walk will tire me further and get me to fall asleep early tonight).

So, all in all, a good day indeed.

Fantastic day! Great workout, great eating, great attitude! Way to go! I think having menus posted on the net is a lifesaver for us weight watchers (no pun intended!). It definitely saved you from indulging in some less than healthy choices. Subway is carby but when you get tons of veggies and low fat toppings, it balances out to a great choice - better than most fast food. I can't wait for our local produce to come into season so I can visit our farmer's markets and partake of the yummy goodness. Have another wonderful day!

Great job!! Mmmmm Love East Indian cuisine!! It's a nice 'treat' once in a great while, though. :) I think lately, I get more veggies when I get subway than other meals, the way my feet have been! Keep up the great work, it's so paying off!!!

Sounds like your motivation is definitely back...especially if you were tired from being up all night, and up early....but you were still able to make the better choice! Nice Job! Keep it up! Have a great weekend!
