Well it finally happened. I hit the wall. Exercising a lot but starting to get cravings. I don’t want to rely on meds forever so now it is time to be strong and fight the desire for junk food. I’m sure the meds are helping and I will keep taking them. I view this as a challenge instead of a setback. I’m wearing smaller size clothes and that makes me happy and I have more energy. Did I mention that I love junk food? I believe I can beat this. Stay tuned!

We all do as we must. My SIL did Ozempic and looks great. I had gastric sleeve surgery in 2011 & felt amazing. I was running 3 miles and cycling 26 miles (indoors) 4-5 times a week. Then took up kickboxing which was so much fun. Then life happened. I wound up being taken off work and had two brain surgeries 2013 & 2014. The inability to do anything it was +5 lbs here & there. I’m not anywhere near where I started but definitely not where I want to be. I still cant eat as much as everybody but more than I could immediately post op. My kids still laugh at the amount I eat. I am a big soda lover. I can’t completely cut the soda (it helps with the horrendous headaches) but instead of all day, I have moved to little 7.5 oz cans and only have 1. Then it’s ice and water. If I feel like I really want to have something sweet, I eat like 1 Hershey kiss. This week I am going to make black bean brownies to beat that craving.
