I went and bought a new scale today. I got an Elektra that also does body composition. when I got home I checked and it does weigh me at 1.2kg heavier than my old one, which is the same difference as my doctor's one indicated. The body composition measurements are worse than the doctor's one and the default goal weight is 4kg lower than that from the doc, so this goes to show that the "commercial" goals are not realistic. I'm going to use the measurements as an indicator, but not to be taken seriously, much like the "advice" given by the average personal trainer or magazine-guided diet advice 🤣 At least I know that the weight measurement is close to accurate, and the hydration measurement will be good after long hikes etc
