Steve started hospice at home on Jan 31. It was an easy decision for me, but broke me to tell him what we had to do. The past week has been a whirlwind of activity to prepare the living room for a hospital bed, visits from nurses and aides and family, and caring for him. This week should be better as we settle in to a more sane routine. Trying to take care of myself in the process. All will be well for Steve, in God's time. He's fought valiantly for almost 3 years and still fights for each day. We have been blessed.💔

Gayle I am so very sorry. Do the best you can to make the healthiest choices you can for yourself. I might suggest putting weight loss on a pause and just concentrate on maintaining and doing the healthiest things you can for yourself. You have been on a tough road. Thoughts are with you.

Thank you for posting this update...I have missed you. My experience with hospice for my late husband was the absolute BEST! They are SPECIAL people that choose this line of work and will be such a blessing to both you and your husband. Lean on the Lord...for He is near🙏💙🌷
