Thank you JC my friend. I think about you several times through the day. I hope you're doing okay. We keep praying for you and your family. I am still trying to find the right place for exercise and food choices. I'm trying so hard to get well. I got a big blister on my toe on my left foot. It was there for two weeks and then it popped. Now my toe turned black. You know what that means. Necrosis. I had one on my right foot turned black last year and had to have it amputated. I'm freaking out a little bit. Going to the ER in the morning.

Thank you and your hubby for the prayers and I think of you daily too my friend ♥️ How about you go to the ER now and not wait please🙏 You’re advanced Stage 4 RA, only on a prednisone therapy due to waiting on labs to start another DMARD. Prednisone is wonderful, but high blood sugar levels love a good infection and the prednisone itself lowers your immune response. You know this all to well luv. Please go tonight 🙏

JC honey I have an 8 appointment with my PCP in the morning. I already called my podiatrist that has been my doctor for 3 years at wound care. And I called the wound care nurse. They both suggested I see my PCP in the morning to get a referral for the ER so they will have a doctor prepared to see me right away in the morning. If I go tonight they would just have me sleeping overnight. We spent the evening getting things ready and prepared to take to the hospital. I know there's so much of all this junk and I freaked out. I try to get everybody on the same page. I'm tired. I will let you know in the morning what the ER says. Thank you for thinking of me.

Oh, Skinny! I'm so sorry that you're dealing with this. I'll pray that all goes well tomorrow.
I had a huge blister on the sole of my right foot a few years ago that got infected. It took almost three months of non-weight-bearing to recover. These babies are stubborn!
Maybe when you next see your podiatrist, you might ask if there's an "optimum moment" that you need to be seen for a blister.
Be well!

The crazy thing is, one month ago before I had pneumonia was when I got the blister. I was still going to wound care and I showed the standing Dr the blister and he had me go for an x-ray thinking it might be broken. Duh. My regular doctor was on vacation and when I called back in to find out what the X-ray said the standing doctor was also on vacation and nobody got back to me about my blister. They discharged me from wound care when I had pneumonia. Now the pneumonia is gone and I wanted to get back in to be seen in wound care but they don't have an opening. That is why the doctor told me to go to the ER. I'm telling you I feel like I get the runaround Every which Way I turn.

JC, Binky, I just left my PCP. She gave me an antibiotic shot in my arm and I will go back again tomorrow and get another shot. That should keep me from getting infected before Thursday. She spoke with my wound care doctor and they want to see me back in the clinic on Thursday. I've been around this mountain a few times over the last 2 years. They probably will let the part that is black Slough off. My doctor did not think they would debride it. Fortunately it's not that deep. It is more superficial on the toe pad then it is into the entire toe. Not fun to go through and it is very painful, but I will get through it. This is all part of the vasculitis and the rheumatoid.
