About the shoes. I walk alot and discovered that if I lace my shoes up to the very last eyelet, I must walk differently because it bothers my shins. Also if they are laced too tight right at the top near the bow, the same thing happens. Good shoes are a must but they don't have to be expensive. I have bought the same Nike's for several years. They are ladies walking shoes and are white leather with a baby blue sole and emblem. They run $40 at our local sporting goods store.
