Have really not done well lately. I resolve to have more resolve! Stressful work with long hours has derailed me. Cannot let it be my excuse- there is always something to blame, right? I may have to work out in the morning instead of after work because I am wiped out when I leave work. I did my power class yesterday however and it really felt good. Need to break in those new running shoes! Thigh Gap--Not Thigh Overlap!This really does not need to be as difficult as I make it out to be! :P

Tonight I went to a baby shower for a coworker held at Cheddar's. Eating plan has totally been derailed this week. Gotta back up and punt. I used to have so much more will power and resolve when I was younger. Now it just seems so hard-- especially with the later hours at work that I have been putting in. Can't give up though.. I really do want this for myself, even if it appears quite the opposite :P

Have been getting out of work late... One of our trauma surgeons did not arrive at clinic until 4:00pm. Normal work hours are until 5:00pm but I did not leave until 7:00pm :( Hard to exercise when you are so tired once you finally get off work. Also went out to eat with my son because I was not up to cooking. Just have to do better than this! Oh well.. after all, tomorrow is another day! :)

My 18 yr old son had his first day at work and we were late getting out of clinic, so we went out to eat.. One habit that I really need to break is eating out. Well I did not follow Atkins at all today, so I need to be resolved to jump on whole-heartedly tomorrow. Sometimes I am so tired after work, that is the last thing I want to do is cook.

Always at Momma and Daddy's on Sundays-- that is good for gaining a couple of pounds.:) I bypassed the potatoes and the dessert, however. Mom is a wonderful cook, and it is hard to bypass anything that she makes. She is eating gluten free, so it is like having a support system-- not the only one passing it by. Sunday is my day of rest- church then hanging out with family. Took Taylor up to DC for a little post grad trip on Memorial Day weekend so that was a little difficult to follow my plan as well as I would like. I am hoping to be well entrenched into it by this week. Giving up soft drinks for water and unsweetened tea has been a little easier than I thought.I was addicted to Dr Pepper I don't mind admitting. Taking a running challenge and also the Atkins challenge and 3 month challenge. Her's to being up to a challenge. Got me some new Nike 5.0 Free running shoes and they feel magnificent. When you are heavy and running--gotta have good shoes. I am going to run intervals. Did well when I did it before-- before I backslid into my usual evil ways. I can do better than that. No more slacking!
