So, I had a Reese's Peanut Butter Egg sitting in my mailbox this morning (my school mailbox). I ate it. It was delicious lol. BUT. I feel like a fatty, and I knew it was a bad choice. Oh well. Workout today for 1 hour at least!! Tomorrow is softball practice (not to mention probably a few hours of potentially rebuilding an aquaculture system which could be serious manual labor), Saturday will be fishing all day again, and Sunday I have two games. I'm hoping to make sure that I still workout on the Wii on Friday at least... I know last time on Saturday I didn't get home til midnight, and I was POOPED after being outside for 10+ hours, and same with playing two games - HOWEVER, this Sunday they are at 5 & 6pm, so I can probably get a short nap to boost my energy and workout Sunday too.

Big dreams, lol. Hope I can stick with them. Been eating a lot of fish lately, it's so low in calories, and I love it. Eating fish can actually prevent Alzheimer's disease, because of the Omega-3 fatty acids. Interestingly enough, I'm doing research on paddlefish fatty acids... because looking at fatty acids of an organism, can tell you what it eats. Most humans would be full of Omega-6 fatty acids - which come from beef and such... but people who eat more fish have more of the GOOD fatty acids, the Omega-3s. Orange roughy is a delicious fish for people who want to start trying fish... it's sweet and not fishy tasting at all. YUM!

You are doing awesome! LOTS of activity! Good for you! :) You deserved to have the peanut butter egg, don't beat yourself up on it! I love fish, have never tried orange roughy though, think I will give it a try!

Ok, ok...maybe I'll give it a try! You're spot on with the Omega-6s in our system, but if we switched back to eating beef that eats what it was supposed to eat (grass) instead of beef being fed corn, our Omega-6s would be drastically lowered. I think the correct ratio is supposed to be 2 to 1 or something, but with our food supply as it is today, most of us are something like 10 - 20 to 1. Ridiculous, isn't it? Don't beat yourself up over the peanut butter egg. Man, your internal dialogue is pretty rough : )Sounds like you're working your tail off. Good for you for the good work out!

Your totally right D! Beef wouldn't be AS bad if we could let them eat their normal, natural diet foods (Grasses, etc). I know that the U.S. supplies a large amount of the worlds corn, and corn is a huge important crop here, but it's so terrible for the environment it's a wonder we still use it for animal feed!! Ah well, with all the science-technology out there today I'm sure they'll probably find a way to incorporate Omega-3s into food for animals that don't have as many, lol - I can't deny that I do love a good chicken leg or porterhouse, lol!!

...Rib eye! That's my personal favorite steak : ) Talk about saturated fats! But I still don't think they're as bad for us as all the fake stuff out there. Like butter - way better for us than margarine (I don't know how true this is but a long time ago someone told me margarine is one molecule away from plastic!), "they" have found that eggs aren't nearly the problem with cholesterol build up as they believed before, and have figured out that fat doesn't make people fat - it's carbs (simple) that make people fat. Makes me think if we'd all just eat what we were supposed to eat, we wouldn't be the fattest nation on Earth. Hey, speaking of...have you watched Food Nation with Jamie Oliver? Who knows? Maybe between that, Biggest Loser, Dr. Oz and to a lesser extent, Dr. Phil - maybe there's a chance food processing will change. As for corn, did you know (probably) they're trying to figure out how to get FISH to feed on corn, too? My God, they're all out to kill us! Fish eating corn! And that crop is so heavily subsidized, a lot of stuff will have to happen to change that. In the meantime, I still love me some steak, and an occasional burger and love chicken. I'd be a terrible vegetarian. Besides, I don't think vegetarianism is a natural way to live, either. Our bodies were created to eat meat - look at our grinding teeth. I'm sure there are other things that point to that, but that's the one I thought of first. Any great plans for the weekend? My husband wants to go hiking tomorrow. I told him as long as we are AT the trail head no later than 7 (and I'm so not a morning person). It's supposed to get to 92 tomorrow. Yuck. It's too early for that much heat. Talk soon. Keep up the great work, I need a bit of inspiration.
