Sunday morning! Still out of sorts but doing better then yesterday! So here is my three point list! My way of controlling anger.. 1. Finding away to escape and calm myself down - usually a good book and a quiet place 2. Riding my bike to upbeat music. 3. Laundry or housework that burns off the extra energy that fuels the anger.
Now a run down of yesterday, I ended up not going to the memorial because I thought it was not somewhere I wanted to be in the mood I was in. Yes I know that in that angry state I would fight or say inappropriate things. Experience has taught me that. So late in the afternoon I did end up going to my ex's uncle place with him, but did not stay long. It was so uncomfortable being around everyone. After that my ex and I decided to hang out for awhile. We rode to wal-mart and I returned that dress since I knew I would never wear it. We shopped around for awhile and hit a couple of stores in the strip plaza. Then he rode home with me, we had a really good talk before he took off with friends. That's when the laundry called my name, and I realized that I needed to get off my butt and do it. Two loads means going up and down three flights of stairs six times. So between the time spent on my bike and the stairs I gave my legs a good work out. Today there is more housework that needs to be done which I will start shortly, and of course the Sunday shopping. Plus I might go look for a replacement dress for the onE that I returned. Needless to say lots of walking again today. If it doesn't rain perhaps some time on the bike as well. But the most important thing is to keep my anger under control. All part of the bi-polar thing, just when you think that you are finally balanced something throws you off again. Oh well each day is a new day and another chance to put all the coping skills into Practice.
