Today was cheat day. I ate out for every meal. Not my intention...but that's how it ended up.
Cleaned my house this morning, got laundry going then headed to the store and realized it was 1 pm and all I'd had was coffee. So hit a drive thru. Went to Whole Foods then hit Yagoot right by it (frozen greek yogurt-got a coconut and white peach mix with NO toppings). Went to Kroger. Picked up nephew (N) to take him driving and shopping. Took food home. N decided he would rather shop for clothes than have driving lesson. OK. Hit Kohls (1X and XL top) and Old Navy (XL top and XL shorts!). Took N to BW3's (12 asian zing boneless wings with a tall Killians on tap). Took him to meet brother J at the mall. Then overindulged having Orange Leaf (frozen yogurt you serve yourself and weigh-cherry, cheesecake, coconut, brownie-nowhere near as good at Yagoot). Finished drying clothes and towels, and heading to bed now. Funny thing...I've had 3x the water today than I have been getting each day working 2 jobs. Gotta get it in!
Tomorrow is wash bedsheets, cook food for the week and just relax! Oh, and do mom's budget and take it to her (she's not gonna like it).
I'm making salisbury steak with mashed sweet potatoes and whatever frozen veggies are in the freezer...Wellshire brand ham w/havarti cheese on gluten free english muffins...and salads again. breakfast will be egg-ham-bake ramekins and protein shakes with bananas and/or strawberries. Got more stuff to make homemade trail mix.
Oh! And I got organic grapes (ALWAYS eat organic with grapes) to make a wonderful snack that I did around Christmas of last year. It's PERFECT cause it's sweet, salty, juicy and crunchy. You need grapes, chocolate and raw pecans (no toasting, roasting, salt or oil) chopped in little pieces. -rinse and dry grapes then break into groups of 2-4 grapes per 'branch' -melt dark chocolate (70% or higher cacao for the health benefits) either in double boiler or slowly microwave 20-30 seconds at a time, stirring in between-DO NOT OVERHEAT...icky burnt taste and a mess -hold group of grapes by branch, dip halfway down in chocolate, then dip in chopped pecans -place on wax paper so chocolate can dry/cool And there ya go! A great snack to hit any sweet tooth or any case of the 'nibbles' LOVE this one!
