This whole trend of yoga pants has really made it difficult to concentrate at the gym, and being very tall it has affected my neck. Someone is making a killing with this trend.

if you can survive the first two weeks of this, take advil for soreness and inflammation, and drink plenty of water, you will be amazed how easy it gets from there. Still don't buy yoga pants...LOL

Try Pilates. Yoga isn't really my thing either, but I have a pair of yoga pants. I wear them when cleaning the house. LOL! People do underestimate anything that doesn't involved hopping, skipping, jumping around, running, etc.

I've always been against yoga pants for no reason in particular. LOL
I'm completing a program that is designed to heal Diastasis Recti (abdominal separation) and yoga is a big part of it. I'll tough through it. Closing that gap is the first step in getting rid of my "mommy pouch." Once it's healed I'll be switching to another routine that I'm confident I'll also hate. LOL

Yoga doesn't look interesting to me but I would like to try Pilates. And the story of how Joe Pilates created it is very inspiring. :-)

Doesn't take yoga pants to experience yoga🙏 in fact it doesn't take asana or "a pose" at all

There's a Pilates studio around the corner I'm going to try once I can continue with cardio for 30 minutes straight. I'm not there yet. :-)

Be aware if you have a bad back Pilates may make it hurt more. I have a very nice Pilates machine I need to sell I kept telling myself it would get better with time but it got worse.

There are some really nice gentle yoga classes that might be a better way to start. You can actually really get injured if you don't do the poses correctly. Yoga builds strength, but the other really valuable thing that it does that you don't see in many other forms of exercise is increase flexibility--something that we lose as we get older. My experience with yoga was fraught with frustration and disappointment until I started taking a gentle yoga class taught by someone who is really excellent at guiding you through the poses. Not all teachers are the same and not all yoga is the same either. Good luck!

LOL The last time I went to the gym, I ended up with a fungus infection form sitting on their equipment. Never had one in my life. It was horrible.
