My goal is to be about 120 pounds because this will put me at 20 BMI. I am currently at 24.5 BMI. I plan to do this by trying to limit my calorie intake to 1000-1200 a day. This will consist of 3 fruits and 3 vegatables each day, eating 5-6 smaller meals/snacks throughout the day and drinking 70 ounces of water a day. I will also be adding exercise to my lifestyle. My goal is to be able to run 5 miles smoothly. Currently I could maybe run 1/4 of a mile. :) I plan for this to be a smooth gradual transition into a better lifestyle so that I will be taking care of the body that God gave me and it is maintained as a vessel for him to use for his glory.

With no exercise I burn about 1900 calories therefore I should be able to have a calorie deficit of atleast 700 each day. It takes 3500 calories to equal 1 lb of fat. This means that ideally, I should lose 1 lb every 5 days. Following this calculation, I should have reached my weight goal by April 15th. Along with this I am going to make a exercise plan that will allow me to run 5 miles by this date as well.

This is a rough estimate because I will aim closer to 1000 calories and will be doing more exercise gradually therefore my calories burned will increase so I may meet this goal before April 15th but with the holidays and special events that life brings I assume that this could be a good goal deadline.

Also it is important to note that I may not be able to eat only 1200 calories my first few days because my body is used to more (thanks to my fast food/ coke habits) so I may have to go gradually to 1200 over the next few days. I am very excited and pray that this endeavor is for God's good and that he brings it to prosper.
