Happy New Year's Eve!!! Found out we are getting out of work early today, which is nice. I'm still not feeling well, so I'm glad we had already planned for a low key New Year's celebration at home tonight. We are having lean steaks (soaking in homemade marinade as we speak!) and my fiance will be having some of the Moet champagne my parents gave us. I will be having club soda with lime, no champagne for me.
According to the scale I dropped a pound since yesterday. I was surprised, because I totally cheated again and had a few bites of Xmas goodies that remain in our house.
I think I want our wedding to be a destination wedding. I'm thinking about where I want it to be; my cousin's was in Mexico so I want to do something different from her. It will be extra incentive for me to eat healthy so I can feel comfortable in a bikini at that point! I have some serious time until then, so there's no excuse for me not to be at my goal in 600+ days.
Today is also Day 5 of not drinking. As usual, I was tempted last night but I had those few pieces of Xmas candy instead. I know alcohol has largely been responsible for my weight gain over the past few months and feel confident that if I'm successful of giving it up my weight will go back to something within a "healthy" BMI.
