Happy Halloween all! I have NOT had a good weekend. We had a bad snow/ice storm over the weekend and I've been left without power since Saturday night at 6 pm. The weekend and this WOE started out ok, but not being able to cook has left me starving and ready to eat anything in sight - which I did. I'm not going to beat myself up about it, I didn't make bad choices because I wanted to, I ate what was available to me and I hope my power is back up soon so I can eat healthy meals that I'm able to prepare myself. This storm really has me worried about what this winter will bring. Our utility company is saying we should have our power back on by Thursday evening... That's crazy, since it got down into the 20's both Saturday and Sunday night. Can't really deal with the cold and my children are having even a harder time dealing. I guess we need to stay in a motel, they are just so expensive. We are fortunate to have a wood burning stove, but all of our wood was soaked so we couldn't keep our fire burning. My husband is going to try and get us some decent firewood for tonight, but if not... Super 8 here we come! Hope you are all having a better morning than me!

I am sorr to hear you are affected by this crazy weather that has come WAY to soon this year. I was talking about this exact same thing with my cousin that also lost her power on Sat. I was worried about her family as well. It is way too cold for you guys not to have heat. Please be careful and stay warm. I hope you have your power very soon. I would think that they could make something happen before Thursday. Here is hoping. Keep us posted if you can. You are in our prayers.

Kristy, I am sorry to hear that your power is out. I hope that your hubby was able to bring in some dry firewood. Hopefully things will be back to normal sooner than anticipated. Blessings and hugs.

Gigi, thank you. I'm still out of power. We have well water too, so not even any water or the ability to flush our toilets. Thankfully, my mom has opened her door to us. It's still so upsetting. I just want to go home and do my laundry and sleep in my bed... And be able to cook for my family. This week's weigh in is going to be a disappointment, but it will be expected. I'm doing the best I can. Hugs right back!! Hopefully I will be back to the land of the living sooner than later.
