recently got a pre diabetes diagnosis. I've been a bit overwhelmed with life and wasn't sure how well I could manage any lifestyle changes at the moment. so the only thing I've really done is commit to home cooking at least 6 days per week. I have enjoyed eating foods that I haven't cooked for a while. Also, I really enjoy planning meals around what's being delivered in my produce subscription box. this had really diversified the fruits and veggies we eat around here. I didn't expect to lose any weight, but I've noticed that I have to poop more frequently. Sometimes I wonder where it's coming from. Who knows, maybe it's all coincidental.

I think you've actually made a huge lifestyle change by committing to cooking more. And your second win is having a subscription to produce! Using all the produce will definitely increase your fiber intake -- and hardly any of us get enough fiber, especially if we are eating prepared foods. But that extra fiber alone will improve your sugar levels and your insulin resistance and it would not surprise me if you see yourself start to reverse your prediabetic status with that alone. And then that extra fiber will improve your gut microbiome and your overall metabolic health. You already have evidence of all that process working for you with the more regular poops:) So congratulations!
