Tomorrow is a new day. You don't have to restart the diet again. Just continue, you are doing great.

You were hungry, they were there, and they are COOKIES. They have an entire monster named after them! You've been keeping your calories pretty low. A natural, human consequence of that is often to revolt and eat something that has calories and inspires cravings. That's okay! So you decide how you want to handle that in the future, how to prevent it, how to rebound from it, etc. This is a natural part of figuring out your dietary rhythm, needs, and strategies. You need to learn to handle them as you lose weight, or you'll be pretty much guaranteed to go back to your old eating patterns after you lose weight. I've learned that if I bring a box of black and white cookies from BJ's into my home while I'm not filling up on something diet-busting like pasta instead, I WILL eat the whole big tub in a disgustingly short few days. Even if I tell myself I'll practice moderation, it's just not happening. Same thing with their tubs of red-skin mashed potatoes. So, last time I went there, I stayed far away from both of them, didn't even let myself see them at the store. I did that because I wanted more to hit my blue line--and today I finally did. This is after many months of learning my own lessons and giving into my own temptations. For many, if not most of us, this is part of the process. You'll find your own way, Mingjo! Just don't feel guilty; that usually doesn't help. Instead, feel more motivated for the future, and make a conscious plan for avoiding or handling that kind of temptation in the future. You can find your way!

Do not feel guilty. Stop it. This is a destructive behavior. Just run upstairs again. Than downstairs. And again upstairs. And again, and again... For an hour. This is your WOD for the cookies, girl.

I bought 13 boxes of girl scout cookies 2 days before I started low-carbing. I have no control over my eating of girl scout cookies, unless the box has not been opened. As long as the box remains sealed, I will never touch a single cookie. I will not open the box myself. But I have a SO, and 4 kids, ages 6-13, and they DO open the boxes. I will darned if they don't leave 4 or 5 cookies in the bottom of the box and put the box back in the cabinet. When I notice the box has been opened, I have to look inside. And once I have looked inside, I have to eat 1. But if I eat 1, then I have to eat 3. But now, I cant leave 1 or 2 cookies in the bottom of the box, that's just rude. So, by the end of it, I have eaten all the cookies left in the box. But ya know, I think they do it on purpose. I only find myself in these kinds of situations when I've had a rough day, or one of the kids has some not so stellar news to break to us 'rents. I think they secretly do it on purpose because they know my weakness. Moral of the story? Don't be so hard on yourself. Someone, somewhere, is telling you that you NEEDED those cookies. Its ok to have a cookie or 6 every once in a while. But the more you tell yourself that you cant have them, the more you will want them, and the more determined you will be to have them. Almost like when your parents tell you that you cant do something, the more you want to do it. Yea...same concept. Don't tell yourself that you cant have them. Don't tell yourself that you don't need them. Tell yourself that they don't need you. I can preach this all day, but at the end of the story, I ate 6 Caramel Delights 3 days ago. And I loved every minute of it.
