Were u heavier than 112? I've dropped almost thirty and have had two children (14 and 16 years ago) my lower belly is pudgy but it has become tighter in the year. Swimming laps did wonders. On the other hand, I don't think anything will make it totally disappear.

With men they say fasting is the quickest way to increase their abs. With bodybuilders it has always been high protein no carb, no fat diets, which can be problematic with health issues like gall stones etc. with some. It is interesting that some strict bodybuilders say they can see the difference of one ice cream in their abs, which gives you a clue as to how strict these diets can get. It is all about how skinny do you want to get?

Another problem is, you will lose weight everywhere else, first, before the tough spots you would like to see go.

That's pretty much Murphy's Law of weight loss.

@Mingjo, looking at your exercise journal I'd keep on doing what you're doing...the long interval biking & hula hooping especially...this area of the body can be very stubborn and may be one of the last areas to reduce. You're probably not very visibly fat in other areas, so be patient. Good luck!

It's a hard area to tone. The good thing about adding core strength is that it can be worked every day. I would love to see six pack abs on my body. I know it's hiding under under my fat...

One thing to remember.... "MONW", Medically Obese Normal Weight, otherwise known as "Skinny Fat". When you are slim and do very little physical exercise, but yet are still storing stomach fat, you are pushing closer to MONW status. What this means is that your weight is normal, but your body fat % is high....high enough to where your liver and pancreas and storing excess amounts of fat from a high carbohydrate diet. Not sure if this is the case here...just something to consider.

My fave ab exercises that seem to flatten that area are leg raises and bicycle crunches. :)

I would ditto Bunny's summation. Not sure if you have a gym, but those standing leg raises are good, where you hold on to supports with your arms.
