Cravings are a weird sensation when you are limited to broth and soup. Most cravings are ignored, because there is no way to fill them within the 'rules' of this Lent. But other times, I can substitute ingredients to still fill the desire for a certain flavor or food. This week, for instance, I found great joy in...tomatoes? Sure enough, my body was craving something and tomatoes were the answer. From chili to Manhattan chowder to tomato basil, it was a red week. Another was the pivot to seafood for protein after weeks of beef, chicken, and pork. Why? I have no idea, but it certainly hit the spot!
