Well I am on day 4 of calorie counting and it is going splendidly. It is such an education! For some one who has often been on a diet, I have NEVER calorie counted before! It is an absolute revelation. It is almost addictive and thrilling to calculate your day and sometimes bat high and sometimes low! The great thing about it is that after doing Atkins for so long , I am food educated about filling protein and healthy carbs and it's very simple to choose things that are filling and extremely healthy. Like Atkins I had a sugar come down on the first day with a headache but have felt fabulous since and it gives so much more freedom to choose / opt to eat something without feeling you've 'ruined' everything. Mainly my mindset is " I choose not to have .... at this time" I choose to eat this instead ..

I am sooo excited for you! it truly is an education. Spend some time learning and using the Glycemic Index and the Glycemic Load Charts, and counting calories, and you'll always be making good choices! Good for you!!! How's the hubby, the kids, spain?? are you still there?
