This weekend was fantastic. Had a great night of bowling on Friday. However, I did learn that 3 of my bowling balls are dead. Sucks, but I gotta wait til after Christmas to get a new one. At least I have a couple that work still. Saturday brought orientation for the second job. It was fun, can't wait to get started with that. It will be nice to unload trucks three nights a week. Good exercise. Then went to the local vegetable/fruit market, bought a lot of good veggies and some fruit. I love packing in good stuff with the lunches for workdays. Makes me more full. Then yesterday took the wife and youngest child to see the Box Trolls. What a nice film. I must say that I am totally a kid at heart, and love the movies geared towards the younger kids. Don't get me wrong, I love my action and sci-fi, but a nice kids movie always goes well. Got home and started my newest project. I am building my wife some potato and onion bins. We are going to have a couple of big ones in the garage, and a small one in the house. It will be a nice way to store the potatoes and onions. Today is starting out dreary, as all rainy Mondays start out, but I can't wait to get going. Should be a great day. Have a great day my friends, hopefully your weekend was good for you, if not, may the new week bring good times.

How does a bowling ball die? I bowled years ago and used the same ball for years. It used to come out of my bag and roll around in the back of my pickup. We used to drop them off the fire escapes in the school yard and the ground would crack before the ball.

The new coverstocks and everything else that makes up the bowling ball now a days makes them have shelf life. I have baked the oil out of them a few times, but after a couple of games, they just don't move anymore. I have all of my stuff drilled aggressive, but once they die, it's like throwing them on ice. They won't hook. The more I bake and resurface, the less time they work. So, after I bake them out once, I resurface them, get another couple of weeks/games, then it's time to retire them. It sucks too, because they are so expensive. I hate having to buy a new ball every year/year and a half.

Fresh fruits and vegetables--a GREAT WAY to eat! Bowling is great exercise. Got halfway to the bowling alley to substitute this evening only to receive a phone call that it was cancelled due to heavy rain, branches/limbs down, and a possible tornado heading that way. Oh, well. There's always Thursday morning league! You really are eating HEALTHY!!!
