Bodyfat: 15.5%


Last time I tested my bodyfat percentage was March 3rd and it was 16.7%. Can't believe I've lost another 1% bodyfat this month!

In other news, I have a cold...which sucks big time. Trying to catch it early now with cold medicine and I cannot afford to take any days off training before my race so I'm just going to have to push through this cold. Weather is back to garbage in the Northeast for the next week or so, and we had some tornados touch down yesterday which was pretty scary.

Yesterday since I forgot my iPod at home, I just did an interval run on the treadmill, and will do shoulders and back along with a 5K tonight.

Hey there! Drink lots of tea, that will help u a little.. How do u measure ur bodyfat? I wanna do that too but all the online tools suck, I'm either too fat or not fat enuf! LOL I'm doing 5K 2day as well.. I think I'm gonna do 5Ks next week too instead of tempo runs, except day4, which is 35min run so I'm gonna start following 10K program from Week3/Day4 cos run times are going up.

Hey Kate! I'm drinking plenty of green tea today hoping to get better. I use the Omron HBF-306C. It's around $25 on amazon. Yeah I've started to incorporate a 5K run after every weight lifting session. I am eventually going to bump that up to 4 miles. Maybe after my race. I start my half marathon training plan in May so I will have to get ready for that.

Oh I'm gonna start half marathon challenge in May, rite after 10K :) Stay tuned ;) And after that training for a marathon! Yahoo! So funny how I can spend hours planning all this stuff and don't get bored LOL Hmm maybe I should increase distance instead of time? Like, lets say for 40mins - 4miles, 45 - 4.5.. That might be better than time I think.. Gonna look at that fat thing, thanks! Try different flavored green teas! Oh what's ur real name btw? :)

I've got that same Omron. Pretty consistent from my experience. I must say though that it used to give me readings between 5-8% but that was before I realized I fall under the "athlete" category, then it spiked my fat percentage up to the 10% range. It's odd though, because from reading other people's ratings on it they say it does the opposite and lowers the fat% when under "athlete".

@Kate, I know what you mean, I spend so much time planning races and workouts now. For distance runs I would always increase distance. For the inbetween runs I'd alternate from 1 week increasing speed, next increasing the distance at the new speed. All by following the 10% rule. And my name is Patrick :)

@Gerdik. I love it. It's pretty accurate. I'm going to have to mess with the settings to see if I'm under the right category. That thing can be pretty picky.
