Lying to myself somewhere, need to figure it out. Did sit most of yesterday compared to a normal weekend. Salt intake is still up, but only one last serving of smoked salmon left. Doesn't appear to be straight water retention. I guess I'm going to have to do a water intensive day today, to include water intake, water exercise, and whatever else I can fit in.
Returned to eggs for breakfast yesterday, I'll switch back to oatmeal when there are a few less eggs to consume. going to have to make some cuts somewhere before this becomes a permanent thing. Errands today, so will get some extra steps in. Logging before breakfast so I don't dawdle in front of the computer.
Interesting part of all this is that my clothes are still fitting and I'm not wearing fat clothes or stretchy stuff. That said, I'm not pretending it's new muscle because I haven't been doing anything that would cause that.
Good things that got done yesterday include setting up the cellular watch with fall detection for mom. She keeps talking about being afraid of falling, so I'm listening and hopefully acting proactively. Talking my friend through her days. Thank goodness they had renter's insurance. They have a temporary landing spot already. So important especially with younger children.
I'm going to Costco in person this morning. Just for a return, but hey, baby steps to normal, right? First, I'm feeding dogs and then jumping on the treadmill for a fast ten minute workout to get this body moving. It feels like a glorious Fall day so will be easy to walk dogs later since we won't have to avoid the heat. Found out yesterday that Sadie doesn't take the heat well. We did the longer walk, but I ended up pouring water on her to cool her down. She's a water dog, so she doesn't mind it. That helped perk her up immediately. I just read about a Toller that lived to 19 years old. I pray I am that lucky. I love this girl and we are so good for one another.
Time to jump start this day. Need good thoughts for BF today. He's doing some tough stuff. All I can say. I'll do better on pics this week. It's been weird. In the meantime, some surprise night blooming cactus. Took this in the dark. Pretty cool, huh? This is literally on the sidewalk next to the street in the hottest part of their yard. Sweet surprise.

Edit: 20 minute uphill treadmill workout and 10 minute HIIT for skiing. Officially sweaty and gross. Time to get errands done.
