Dear Self -
I technically started at 230-231 lbs when I decided to try cutting carbs down, not keto extreme but since I know I am a "carbaholic", knew something had to be done so decided with baby steps - cut out breads for the most part,fries, potatoes....and after about a week and a half, have consistently lost 1/2 lb to a lb a day. My doctor was right, I can tell when I feel full, which was lost due to putting in so many carbs, leading to overeating, etc. First week, I felt great, more energy. Now, feeling pretty good, but some bouts of tired (I think sleep which is a whole other issue to tackle next). I was told by week 3 I should really notice a change for the positive and week 2 would be somewhat difficult. So far, all has been true...Anyway, I saw the scale go to 230, but I had been there before as my weight has fluctuated between 228 and 232 for the past year-ish. It wasn't til it hit 226 that I felt "You Can do This!" and you are...Now that I see 220 on the scale, I am excited to continue and looking forward to seeing 200. That day I will be doing a big dance (don't need the cake...lol). So, this week decided to actually try a tracker(again)and loved this one that I found plus figured if I have my weight in writing, it would continue to encourage me but also I could really see the changes as they occur. Finally,I wanted to tell you to continue with positive self talk, you deserve it, and I am proud of you even if you never hear it or positive words from those family and friends close to you! This new you is the old you starting to shine through and the journey is just getting started!
