REALLY really REALLy bad evening for me. High stress and high emotion. Had disagreement with my hubby and he went to bed mad. I ate a huge candy bar...yes I know not good...but tonight I really did not care one way or the other. I really hate my life at this time...

I don't know if I can stand it... In tears right now...I am going to start reading "heaven is for real" tonight to see if I can get out of this funk...

I respond the same way when upset. You need to allow some time for yourself and take care of yourself, FIRST, sometimes.

Next time, brush your teeth and you go to bed first. I used to get so upset and then do self-destructive things like eat or cry until I got a headache (while my husband slept and snored like a baby)! Whatever it is, this too shall pass...so don't let the stress of today give long-term impacts to your healthy future. Try to have a good night and a better tomorrow.

Sorry, K. Hope things get better. Remember that eating that candy bar doesn't hurt him, only hurts you in the long run. But I know it feels (tastes) good at the moment. I was a little peeved at my hubby the other day so I didn't go on a bike ride with him. He went alone. That'll teach him. Uh.....not really. Only hurt myself as I didn't get in my workout. He came back in a good mood cause he worked off his anger. I sat and stewed. In the end, I should've gone. We need to remember to start making better choices for ourselves. Your first one was to come here and vent to us. I hope this doesn't come off as lecturing. We hear ya and support you!! As the saying goes (below), you are the creator of your own destiny. Hugs!!!!

Very sorry that you're upset, Kathy. I absolutely hate when my husband goes to bed mad, it breaks my heart. I hope you wake up and read this comment in a much better frame of mind. Although it often seems to much of a weight to bare we always get through it. Thinking of you <3

Still in a funk today...book was good(read it cover to cover). I haven't seen my hubby yet today...won't until after work. Stressful day at work also so this is not helping. I am making better food choices though. Get to go see my new office in person today, maybe that will help.

Oh WOW... I just finished "Heaven is for Real" last night. It sure does give you food for thought.... and calorie-free food at that! :-) I'm new to the list. I started a ketogenic diet about a month ago. The pounds flew off in the first two weeks, then things slowed WAY down. In fact, I've plateaued for about 5 days. I'll do some adjusting in the diet and up the exercise a little to see if that gets me moving again. Is anyone else on this list using a ketogenic diet?

With men I have learned it helps if you put all the attention on them and how they feel if they will open up. Most men won't offer their feelings because they've been taught that. But if they see someone really interested they might. Who knows??? I can relate to what you said and for me, it's the most horrible feeling in the world. Hope you have a better day! We're all here for you.

I react the same way to stress and relationship issues, go right to eating for comfort. I hope today is a better day for you.

I agree with everyone relationships/marriage is a world on to its own. I ate, cried gained weight had children and so on. My marriage ended due to more than just petty fights. So I understand a bit how you feel. I do agree and see if you can get him to open up you have known him how long so you should know by watching him what may be upsetting him. 9-10 out of ten its this silly trust thing all of a sudden they see you trying to do better and think that you are looking. Best of luck kick the candy bar to the curb. (((((HUGS)))))

He called me this morning on his way to work. He saw something that he thought I should take care of. I looked...and reported in...but since I was running late did not do anything about it. Maybe the door has opened...we shall see when I get home tonight. I went to bed really early last night...put the TV in our bedroom on timer. I fell asleep before he came to bed. He asked once for me to turn off the tv...I was too tired to do anything...so I did nothing. I knew the timer was turning it off at 10pm anyway. My 21 year old daughter tells me I need to learn how to make him feel guilty. I told her you have to care about someone before you feel guilt when you have treated them badly. He really does not think he has done anything wrong...which is sad. Thanks for all the words of encouragement...this too shall pass. Maybe I will burn some calories making up?!

Welcome JEA4565! Thanks for the comment. I don't know of anyone on that particular plan...however if you go to the forum or groups and check you may find people that are. I would just leave a message on the forum and that should connect you with people.

OH YES! Making up can burn some calories! AND CAN BE SO GOOD! BTW, I wouldn't go trying to make someone feel something. Means nothing if they can't feel it on their own. Just grab that man of yours and show him how much you love him!

Well Becky...let's not mince words shall we! Guess he is in for a surprise...I will tell him it was your idea! Thanks for the giggle...I needed that!

Dear K, I'm so sorry for your tough time with hubby. I think marriage tiffs are the most hurtful kind of all. I don't know about you, but we rarely ever fight, but when we do I tend to cop a "he hurt me, so he hates me, so I hate him too" mentality, which of course is absolutely NOT true, & is very hurtful to our relationship. I know it's wrong & try to fight it, but sometimes it wins & it's terrible. I really like BeckyBaby's idea to just grab him & show him how much you love him. I think that would just remove all tension & bad feelings, & bring you both right back together. At least I hope so. I'm praying for you & hoping things are going better now. Don't let this upset your good eating habits, that only makes things worse. You're doing great, so just keep it up & give God the rest. (((( HUGS ))))
