Okay back to 147.0 today. Didn't record it since it's no change from the last time I recorded. My ultimate pregnancy goal is top out at 160 (up 15 lbs from normal pre-pregnancy weight). If I'm going to stay within that range I KNOW I need to keep active and eat healthy. I am pretty motivated to do so.

It snowed a ton here last night. Had a delayed opening for work (yay!). My car is both old and a convertible so it's horrible in the snow. Salem is driving me to my classes tonight and waiting for me at the Barnes and Noble across the street. Love him! :)

We ordered this thing called an Angel Sounds Fetal Doppler monitor. It was only $30 and I think it was so worth it! I can listen to the baby's heartbeat whenever I want now. For some reason I find it very relaxing... even though it's easily twice as fast as my own heartbeat!

Foods have continued to be healthy. Lots and lots of fruits. Seems that's what I crave so it's working out pretty well. And skim milk. I can't get enough of that either.

I'm very nervous to tell my parents about the pregnancy this weekend. They are very traditional and I am concerned about their reaction. I hope I'm just being irrational but I'm worried they will not take the news well and it will be ugly. It seems silly that I'm 32, a grown woman with my own career, house, etc and that I will worry what they think. Sigh.

Parents often surprise you. I'm sure they will be happy for you and excited for the new addition to the family. I was so afraid to tell my mom I was moving to a different state with my boyfriend because she is also very traditional but she was amazingly supportive. No one can dislike a baby! And you're getting married soon!

I agree ... parents do often surprise us. How can they not be completely delighted that their 32 year old daughter (who has been living in sin!!) is both getting married and giving them a grandchild in the same year??!! I can understand being anxious about it though ... seems no matter how how we are, we often still want our parents to be happy with us!!

I remember seeing those at home heart monitors, and wanting one too - never did get it, but always wanted one! All I can say is good luck with your parents this weekend. Personally, my parents probably wouldn't have been to bent outa shape, especially since they know you are getting married before the birth, so hopefully yours will see the good in it too. No matter what, this baby is coming!!!! Have a great day, and keep up with the fruit and milk - essential for that baby!

I think that it is so beautiful that you are pregnant Chris. Be careful with old cars and the snow, remember that you are carrying precious cargo now. I was happy to see you today. Take really good care of yourself now...

They didn't sell those dopplers when I was pregnant but my girlfriend was a nurse and grabbed me one from the hospital. It is awesome and reassuring. I hope your parents take the news well but if they don't just know that they will get over it and they will love this baby.

I hope your parents can accept the idea of their grandchild's arrival no matter the due date. It shouldn't make that big a difference in the grand scheme of things. So many joys ahead for you. That doppler sounds like great fun and it would be sooooo soothing. You are doing great.

Don't worry too much about weight gain. You only need 300 more calories a day for the baby. If the baby is going to be big... it'll show up on your scale! Lol. One girl I knew thought she gained too much weight until her son was born and he was 10lbs! Lol. I hope you're parents take the news great! *crosses fingers*

Hi Chris! How could your parents be upset? I can't imagine them not being happy to welcome a little baby, from their own "baby"! I'm glad to hear that Salem is driving you to your class, snow and old convertibles are not the best friends lol! Take care!
