I am trying to lose excess weight accumulated due to a severe leg injury which has limited my level of activity. Have always struggled with weight but this has made it 100 times more difficult! I started this after an insensitive remark made to me by a doctor so in the beginning I referred to this as the Dr O diet. I didnt think it was possible to lose steadily almost entirely due to dietary changes. After speaking with a trainer she encouraged me to try. I find it very liberating as I can control this aspect of my life, although I cannot control my disability. My biggest struggles are weight plateus. I have been able to break through them by doing intermittent fasting. I also alter my diet as my metabolism gets used to repetitive way of eating. I almost always eat an apple a day. This is my end of the day snack. I never liked apples but now I love them. I look forward to this ritual at the end of the day.
