Berbere is my favorite spice! Especially on lentils and in black bean burgers. Excellent meal, SK!

What a beautiful mix of sweet and salty! Mnago in a savory dish is so summery and exotic to me. Had to look up berbere and love that spice mix! Do you guys buy it somewhere or make your own?

Thx NN! 😋 I like fruit with savory dishes and this berbere was purchased at CostPlus/WorldMarket. I probably have all the ingredients to make my own but this one is good. I usually add other spices to it as well.

NewName, they also sell Berbere spice at Harris Teeter, Kroger, Fresh Market, Trader Joes, and Walmart grocery. Don’t know which grocery chain is in your town but it’s easy to get. Also, throw harissa in your shopping cart if you like heat spice. Great mixed with yogurt or mayo in a burger. Berbere is a warm spice but not hot (to me).
