Stupid hormones!
I'm suffering from PMS (possibly PMD undiagnosed).
Misery, thy name is water retention!
I feel like the access water is crushing my brain.
Sure, a little dramatic, but my weight swings about 5 lbs in either direction during a cycle. I'm completely wiped out and achy in addition to feeling discouraged by the extra weight.

Blah!

No excuse to miss the gym or eat crap, though.
I still train Monday and Wednesday evenings (with an hour of cardio afterward), plus another 2-3 morning cardio sessions before work.

Nothing gets the heart going in the morning like 45 minutes on a stairstepper!

I've started adjusting my complex carb intake, too. High (3 meals, ei: oatmeal with egg whites or brown rice with chicken), Moderate (2 meals), and Low (1 meal). Tomorrow is a low day, then the next is High. Apparently, adjusting complex carbs shows your body that it is allowed to burn stored energy because more are coming down the pike. Of course, this is all part of a VERY strict and detailed diet, so no one over simplify this info!
