I'm struggling today. Weighed myself when i woke up this morning, and I gained 2 lbs from yesterday. :( I know you're not supposed to weigh yourself everyday because weight fluctuates day to day, but I can't help it, i need to see results. I'm sticking to my plan, no sugar, no carbs no junk food.. why am I stuck at 260?

I hate to say this, especially since you've said yourself you already know not to do it...but don't weigh yourself everyday. It will just end up frustrating & discouraging you. I weigh myself every 7-10 days & if I've been sticking to my diet & exercise plans, am never disappointed!

Hi Erin, You are doing amazing on your program! I too weigh myself constantly and it can be very frustrating. TOM always trips me up, but it always comes off plus some in a week. Plateaus are hard. But they happen for a reason. I am a very very big "informer" about plateaus. WE NEED THEM! Our outside bodies take longer to adjust to the fat loss we experience. You have to consider that your skin needs time to constrict, and the fat will redistribute itself. Even your internal organs have to readjust to the positioning of less fat in your body. As an example: I lost 40 lbs as of the end of last August when I had been on a week-long vacation. After teh vacation, I slacked a little on my diet, but not fully and I knew I wasn't losing. I got sick and went to the doc and had gained 4lbs (TOM). So I was complaining that I needed to be more serious again, I wasn't working hard enough at this and I just wasn't where I wanted to be.Well... I pulled on my "skinny jeans" that I had last tried on while at teh same weight- they were still a little snug at the time. Now they sag.. and I am 2 lbs heavier than last time I tried them. So, Moral of the story: we need the plateaus if we want our bodies to look like they should. :) Hope that helps...

Thanks Barbie :) I know I'm being hard on myself today, but I'm just SO ready to be the person on the outside, that I am on in the inside.. if that makes sense. I'm doing going to let this discourage me, I'm actually going to use it as motivation, getting ready to go out for a walk right as i type this :) Just waiting for my ipod to finish charging. Hoping to get at least a mile in today :) Wish me luck!! hopefully my legs don't fall off :D

Erin, you've lost 25 pounds in just 19 days which is amazing! Your body will need time, as Barbie said, to adjust to that amount of weight loss in so short a time. I have a sense that your weigh-in yesterday (258) was the fluke and today's weight of 260 is correct, still giving you a 1-pound loss in just 2 days. You're off to a phenomenal start....be sure to review Induction guidelines so you keep fueling your body properly (correct amt. of protein, water, foundation veggies, etc.) to keep your metabolism working optimally. Enjoy your walk!
