I saw on Shir's journal you had expressed concern you might be too old to lose the weight. I just wanted to support & encourage you. Look at this as the beginning of a new & healthier lifestyle & you can do it. Yes, it may take awhile but that's OK. Speaking as a young at heart, about to turn 65 year old I say " Don't ever think you're too old to accomplish new goals! "
