I put on a pair of 16 jeans last night!!!! I tried them on and got them buttoned and everything! They were low rise and I am really tall so that style doesn't really work well on my body but they were on and buttoned! I will still need to lose a little more to get into a pair comfortably and that flatter my body but hey... baby steps! :)

So, I am about .4 away from the 30lb mark :) I am so glad that I have made this change in my life and decided to get healthy once and for all. It was just after my birthday on July 12th (just under 2 months ago) that I started this new journey and it has been quite an exciting trip so far. I have faced many challenges during this last two months including family problems, parenting issues, a 2 week vacation, being extremely busy, and more! I have been looking at all of the things in my life more closely and have been allowing myself to feel feelings I have just eaten to avoid in the past. I have also really taken some giant steps to becoming HEALTHY not just to lose weight. I feel better, I look better, and I am hopeful about the life I still have to live.

I wasn't able to get into the nurtition class I wanted to take this semester but I am definitely making plans to take some soon. I have begun planning for how I can develop a career that uses my teaching credential and love of teaching kids and also my passion for helping kids and families get healthy. I am excited!

Only 6.5 more pounds to go and I will be under 250 for the first time that I can remember since I was a kid. :)
