Ugh, this week is insane.

I'm working ridiculous hours and going to class, partly because I don't get paid for Labor Day (even though the office was closed.) So my options are to either not be paid for the day or to work extra to make up the time. I just spent a year unemployed so I really don't want to not get paid so I'm trying to make up the time.

I had class tonight, I have class tomorrow night. 3 hour long MBA classes that are at least 40 minutes away with traffic. I need to leave earlyish as I have tickets to a show on Friday night. Which basically means that I'm going to have to pull close to two twelve hour days tomorrow and Thursday at work. Gah, shoot me, please.

Exercise is not happening for the next few days, there's just no way when I'm going to be busy from 6 am to 10:30 pm (which is when I get home from class.) I did carry around my massively heavy bookbag (damn thing has to weigh at least 20lbs) today (and I even carried it up 4 flights of stairs at work.) According to my pedometer I also walked over 4700 steps today so that has to count for something right? The upside is that I don't have to do this crazy of a schedule after this week so it's only a couple of days of torture.

Thanks, Lisa. Going to go to bed now, I figure I'll get a lot of walking in on Friday since I'm going into the city.

Given the choice between sleep and exercise, if you are getting less than 8 hours of sleep choose sleep, and if you are getting more, choose exercise :). That sucks that you don't get paid for the holiday. I guess i should remember to be grateful for that part of my job. I usually end up working holidays... But then I get paid super extra a lot!

Well, as a contractor, I will get paid for holidays once I'm here a certain amount of time but it's something like six months. I get paid well and would probably consider skipping the day but I just paiid for textbook and health insurance for the semester so both are pretty steep bills.
