Jornal de Josie Ann, 19 mar 13

I'm still foggy in the head from my long long travel day on Sunday and haven't fully caught up on my sleep. So, I've been craving and caving into sugar. I do allow myself a treat here and there, but this craving is different when your body is just plain tired. I find it hard to resist when you constantly feel so wiped out, but I hope to get to bed earlier tonight so maybe the fuzzy head will be gone tomorrow. I can't make excuses for myself, but at least I can understand why I'm so weak with temptations at the moment.

Tomorrow is another day and I will run and stay away from the cookie jar!

Hey, something I have found that works really well for me is substituting the sugar. Instead of refined sugar (like cookies), I have an apple or banana. Natural sugar, great treat, healthy. You could even have a square or two of dark chocolate, which is much healthier than most candies and feels like a real treat. =) You can do it!

Thanks Jaimie - I appreciate the encouragement! Yeah, I tried to curb my sugar cravings with an orange today, and it worked for the morning, but when the afternoon came along I just wanted good ole crappy sugar! I will force myself to do better tomorrow and I will. I hope your doing well too!

It's hard to retrain your body on what to crave. (I went vegetarian last September and at first it was REALLY hard.) Just always make an effort and know that it's a slow process to change your cravings and habits. =)
