Walked the full 3.1 miles this morning, enjoying the sunshine and wearing shorts....so that's all good. If you saw my journal yesterday, you know I wasn't sure I'd get a walk in yesterday due to the rain, but doggies and I did manage to get out and complete it in the afternoon, when things had cleared out and dried up a bit.

DH has plans to go on a car "cruise" tomorrow. Not sure if I'll go along, but I probably will. Could be fun, but it gets none of my to-do list done and, believe me, my to-do list is enormous!

I'm one of those folks who has a lot of interests and I want to get involved in everything. Problem is....it can be too much and then I get overly stressed that I can't get everything done. I already have a little of that going on right now. Just this week, a couple of requests came to me that I'd otherwise agree to, but I had to reluctantly say "no," or stop myself from getting involved. Until I can get rid of a number of the many, many projects already awaiting me, there's no way I can, or should, add anything else.....but it's hard to refuse.

I suspect these kinds of issues are what's making it so difficult for me on this WOE right now. I'm not off plan, I'm just eating way too much ON plan. Yesterday, it seemed like all I did was eat/snack throughout the day. Was I really hungry? No. But I felt like I couldn't stop....NOT a good place to be.

For today, I'm telling myself to just calm down, focus, and take it one moment at a time. Stop looking at all the things to do and focus on a realistic few to complete today.

We'll see how this goes. At least I got my exercise in.

Oh, my Sandy...I am the same way! Why is it so hard to say no? I end up stresses and running around at the last minute trying to get everything done. Good for you for not adding more to your load. You'll get caught up and then can move on to more projects! Hope you get to enjoy the car cruise with hubby...life is short and we need to spend as much time as we can with those we love! Have an awesome weekend! Hugs...oh, and great job on getting that walk in despite the weather!

Stef, I'm not crazy abou the cruise, but I agree with you that life is short. This is something important to him and so I really should get on board and just go enjoy it with him...should be fantastic weather for that sort of thing, too.

I agree with Stef - take a day off to do something different. Is this what we in NC call a Cruise In (not a show - no prices)? I used to get sick of them but now that we have nothing running to cruise in I'm really missing them.

Geez, sounds like me, on plan, but off the charts, I do so hate when that happens. Totally get the calm down & focus bit too. So much to do, so little time. So many tasty things to eat, so little wigglin' room. So, I agree, a day to something different could just give you that little boost to recharge, so enjoy. PS...shorts...really... you are just killing me...LOL!!

Hey Sandy..sometimes we have to just go with the flo...all that stuff will be waiting on you..we need a break from all the same ole..I hate the days that all I want to do is eat..and the worst is you don't really know what it is you want to eat..I love it when my DH decides to just do nothing important...this is a very rare incident..I will drop everything and go..Have a great day girl..:O)

Buffy....more like a road rally; definitely not a show and no prizes. We thought it would be one way and it turned out to be a bit different. Still fine, but just a bit different than we expected. Still, it got DH's car out for a longer distance test which it passed with flying colors!

Bren, the change of pace was nice, even if it was something more up DH's alley than mine. We drove curvy backroads where there was almost no traffic except us. Folks along the way must have heard there'd be a parade of vintage cars and a few were out at their fencelines waving and cheering the cars as we drove past. We saw a fair number of cows (and bulls) and I couldn't help but think of your herd. Even down here, they seem to be wearing their hairier winter coats.
