now that I'm having to drop my calories to 1300-1500 I am straight HANGRY!!!!

I'm miserable!

This entire time I have been fine because I got to eat 1700-1800 but now that I have to drop it lower I'm suffering...I feel like I can't live like this :(

I'm hoping to come up with a different menu for my meal preps next week that will hopefully make me not as miserable? Hoping...

It's so hard to shoot for 20 carbs and 1300-1500 calories because you can't fill up on veggies!!!

For me, the less carbs and protein I take in, the less calories I need to keep me satisfied.

Sharon, really listen to yourself, how you feel. I hear some panic in your voice -- not a good place to be when you've been feeling "miserable" and "depressed." Perhaps your body, mind, emotions, and spirit are all telling you, "Go easy on us! We're working as hard as we can!" Perhaps adjust your daily calorie goal to 1500-1600 and the carbohydrate goal to 25 or even 30 grams. Don't torture yourself because your weight loss has slowed. Misery only leads to an uncontrolled binge streak and undoing some (or all, God forbid!) of what you've accomplished so far.

I agree with Miraculum. Try to take a deep breath and relax. You look fabulous and have been feeling great...until that evil scale took over! You are going to succeed. Like Miraculum said, maybe shoot for 1500-1600 cals until your body adjusts. Hang in there. You have come so far, I just know you will make your goal...it may just take a little longer.

Maybe just do maintenance for a bit? I know I get sad when the drops aren't coming as fast as they used to but I don't want you to be miserable!

oh man I went to delete this journal entry because I know I posted out of emotion and panic and being hangry but then I saw your responses and you're right...thank you for being the wise voices of wisdom..I'm happy I posted! <3

two things I thought of after my rant...1. I have been overeating nearly every weekend on top of my calories being at 1700-1800...yes I felt like I should still lose because of the amount I'm working out...but maybe not. Maybe my overeating was just enough to make me break even. I really need to not overeat a few weekends before I say this. 2. A long time ago I ate ribs and didn't lose while I was eating them back then either...so wondering if I'm not calculating rib calories right and that's why...cause both times ribs have been in my preps I didn't lose. I need to just breath and not binge for awhile and keep my calories at the 1600-1700 and wait awhile.

OH - AND...I haven't entered ketosis from my binge yet so that might be why I'm so hungry too..might just need to enter ketosis again to not feel hungry

Acknowledge this and keep stepping - yes, it happened, yes you legitimately felt this way, but it only defines the moment, it doesn't define you... so, carry on, we got your back.

Ribs are "sneaky" calories SV...hard to estimate fat content (therefore calories) from one batch to the next...they sure taste great though ;)

BTW, as mentioned above, you are doing awesome!!! In the long term you are on a winning trend, keep making good decisions and your efforts will pay off!!

I think that if you are not going to be strict keto you may feel better eating more carbs. Your body is not really getting a lot of energy as you are striving to get into ketosis but then you will carb again and break the progress. So maybe try to just go with the calories lower for a bit and eat those veggies and the fiber to help fill you up

so many helpful people. and your own good insight and judgement bringing you back to a healthy head space. you have so much strength. seems like you will get where you want to be if you acknowledge how amazing you are and celebrate all you've accomplished in a short time.
