Feeling extra motivated to keep my calories lower this week....

I am feeling constantly hungry but I've stopped losing at 1700-1800 calories even with a lot of gym and 3 miles walking every day (which should be still losing at my age, height and activity level but I'm not).

Weight loss came to a halt...

I've always had a harder time than most at losing...I used to have girlfriends that were the same weight as me and they'd say "oh I cut out soda and started walking a mile every night and I've lost 15lbs" and I'd be in shock because that did nothing for me.

I had to do super high intense cardio (spin class with bike resistance SUPER high) working out so hard that people will approach me after and comment on my intensity...go to the gym twice a day...calories at 1500 when I weighed 220...and slowly losing...

I think it may be my hypothyroidism? Dunno...but you can't feel sorry for yourself or compare yourself to others or listen to everybody saying do this do this or do that...because when you've tried it all and know what works you just have to do whatever works for YOUR body...and there's a million people with a million different opinions and you can't listen to everybody or you'll go nuts.

So...I have to eat 1300-1500 calories right now, gym every day HARD, plus walking 3 miles a day...and that's just what it's going to take for me.

And congrats to everybody else that gets to eat tacos and cake in moderation...cause that surely aint me!!!

I do feel your pain. Always, been the same with me...work out super hard and keep the calories low. Although, there was a time that I was also on synthroid for hypothyroidism, too, I understand. I can say at 49 years old, eating Keto my TSH numbers are great and no longer on synthroid so that is a good thing. If I ate wait I wanted (even in moderation) I would start gaining.....yes I feel your pain! Just keep on doing what you know works for you. Tacos and cake are overrated anyway :)

yes that's why I do keto...only thing that works! I tried just calorie counting multiple times (cause dear God I wanted that SO bad)...weight went absolutely no where. I'm on that thyroid medication. Your thyroid got better???

Based on how long you've been diagnosed with hypothyroidism... may be time to have your meds adjusted for your new frame and volume.

Sharon, my TSH numbers are in the mid-range now! Also, the symptoms that go with hypothyroidism are gone. If you haven't done so you may want to get a new test and recheck your thyroid. It is possible that with your weight loss you may need your medication adjusted. Good luck!
