Only day 2 of doing the keto diet and my family wants me to come over for beef stew, corn bread , green beans, and chocolate meringue pie tonight plus I’m taking the kids trick or treating so I’m going to have two bags of candy in the house . I don’t know how I’m going to resist all the temptation today !😬

Write each thing down and analyze how much you've had after every entry. I think you will slow down what you put in your mouth...and maybe think about how much work it takes to take it off. I'm lazy. I'd rather not put it in my mouth...than have to work it off. Nothing wrong with Beef Stew!! But I'd avoid the potatoes and corn bread if it was me. And a sliver of the pie won't be the straw...

Eat before you go over. You can have a bit of beef and green beans with butter for sure. But if you are not hungry then it is easier to control yourself. As for Candy. I love them. But I look in the mirror and then I know that candy is not for me right now. if things get critical you can mix some sugarfee cocoa with some whipped cream.

I have the same dilemma. It is my daughter's birthday and we are having ice cream and cake plus a weiner roast. You have my sympathy I need more will power too!

two words: Cheese sticks! Every time you want to eat candy unwrap a cheese stick and eat it. Just worked for me with an office kitchen filled with candy and cupcakes.

I’m also on day 2 of keto. Kicking the sugar is HARD!.. I like the idea of cheese sticks someone mentioned, gonna have to give that a try! Stay strong, you can do this and if you slip, it’s okay, tomorrow back to the plan. This is a lifestyle change and like anything, it takes time.

Good luck to you! I just restarted and held out all day until after dinner. Oh well Tomorrow is a new day. One thing I can say is that if you avoid all the fake sweets and keep your carbs down to 20 or less the cravings will actually go away. It might take a week and you might still long for it but you will be able to control it
