I have been MIA for a week or more....so this is a long post! Ever since I quit job 2, I swear...I still don't have any time to myself! Had a family function last weekend that went longer than normal, which pushed the grill out with my neighbors to Sunday, then did my normal clean the gym/workout/laundry/clean house on Sunday then grilled out at 8pm! Monday after work was getting meds from my mom's doc who is 45 minutes away (ridiculous!). Then worked some overtime and dealing with my mom's car. Took her to the grocery for a few things last Friday and the brakes were going to the floor to stop. My aunt and I got it to the shop Tuesday night. Found out new day all the brake lines needed replaced. He said there were original lines and rusting apart so when he touched them, they crumbled in his hands. Yippee...so now I get to figure out how to get the car back to her today. My nephew stayed all night last night. I've been promising him for 2 weeks we would work on making a jewelry box for his mom for xmas...gotta get started on that. Supposed to take my other nephew for driving lesson tomorrow night around 6.

Oh, I'm going to talk w/bestie some time today about the trip to see other nephew graduate basic training. I plan on taking my workout stuff and packing a lot of my own food and snacks. NO WAY am I eating 'complimentary' processed breads (gluten) for breakfast or all the takeout that they want to eat and be swollen and miserable for 5 days away from home. NO FREAKIN WAY. So I need to find out if the hotel has a mini fridge in our room or figure out a way to take a cooler and load it up with ice a couple times a day. I want to take greek yogurt, fruit, my protein powder and ninja blender to make protein shakes. I may even prepare each shakes dry ingredients into ziploc snack bags. I'm taking my own coffee grounds cause I think the rooms have coffee makers (that's kinda standard now, right?), and I am taking gluten free pretzels, trail mix and some other GF snack I have come across. I think I may even take my own salad dressing because I'm sure where ever we go, that's probably what I will end up eating. I love my extended family and my bestie does what she can to accommodate my eating habits, but there is no way I can eat the stuff they want to eat. There is a night planned to eat at a chinese buffet. No clue what I'm gonna go. Plain rice with steamed veggies? Buffets are NOT good. UGH! I'm gonna email a fellow kettlebeller who packs all her own food for her frequent travels for work to see what she does. She's very muscular and has done a couple of women's bodybuilding shows...which is incredible considering she started at Swing maybe 6 months before me...I think.

My new job...is fantastic! I love it! I get the feeling that they are very impressed with me. A couple of people in other departments have said they heard great things about me and how I am detailed and catch things that others miss. My boss hasn't had time to do my 60 day review from last week, but pulled me aside and said he is very happy with me as is my lead and if I have any concerns or questions, let him know. But he wanted to make it clear he is very happy with my work. :-D

This past week I have been eating the leftover italian salad and potato salad from the grill out for lunches, the leftover burgers for dinner and protein shakes for breakfast. I had watermelon and peanuts for snacks. Killed some caramelized onion hummus with GF pretzels. Had chicken/veggie potstickers in ginger/orange sauce with jasmine rice one night. Met a friend for dinner Thurs night for mexican...should have had the corn tortillas, but couldn't get past my flour wrapped chimichanga and beer....both full of gluten and I payed with swelling the next day like I knew I would...I'll get there...baby steps. So overall not bad, but not enough water or veggies this week. Oh, I had a whole can of garbanzo beans for a snack Wed night...haha! I want to make roasted chick peas this weekend. Found a couple recipes. My nephew may be interested in making them too, he like cooking and making things.

This weeks meals will be a broccoli salad, protein shakes, and regular salads. Will do some boiled eggs and garbanzo beans for protein on the salads. Really want to find some bean sprouts. Whole Foods didn't have any! Bah! My local health food store is supposed to hold 2 loaves of Paleo bread for me when it comes in (coconut and almond), but I haven't received a call yet and it's been 5 days. Hope it's just late getting there and they didn't sell out. I will be very upset.

Anyway, I still haven't had time to read how everyone is doing, and I really want to tonight or tomorrow.

Wow!!! You have certainly been a very busy lady! Congratulations on the excellent on doing excellent work at your new job! That must be a huge lift off your shoulders. And yes you have been missed by the way. Have a great weekend!! Get lots of water, much needed rest and have fun with your nephews!! They have an awesome aunt and role model!
