Well, it has been a few days since I wrote in this journal. I'm doing well and pleased. I went on Friday to my health coach visit and found that I lost 2 pounds, that was good. But I go to the weigh in every other week, so 2 pounds is only 1 pound per week and with over a 100 pounds to lose I'm hoping to up that some.

The plan I left that appointment with is: protein 85g., net carbs at or below 25g., and fat 80g. with trying to stay within 1200 calories. I will do a movement walk (not necessarily heavy exercise) every afternoon. My typical day is sit at a desk, all day! I will also get sun, at least 10 minutes a day (tough right now, as it is raining). I will also look for something fun and hand-engaging to do each evening (maybe something as simple as coloring).

I have a bad habit of "needing" to eat in the evening, it feels like an insatiable desire. Even when I'm full, I need to have the food at the end of the day. After much reflection, I am thinking it is tied to when I grew up. Every evening my dad and I would have ritz crackers and sharp chedder cheese as a snack. It is what we did as we watched our evening family program. It was also the only time I was allowed in the livingroom with food. It is a connection with my dad, who has since passed on. I need to find another connection and stop the evening eating.

I hope everyone is enjoying the end of summer, at least coming close to the end here in NH. Our weather is still very humid though. By mid-September, we will be welcoming fall and snow here can start anywhere from October to January. I love all seasons, except winter, so hoping summer and fall stay around awhile still.
