After losing 5 lbs yesterday, I was afraid I would show a big jump back up today, but no! I think that this no alcohol thing makes a big difference. Now the big trick will be if I have the motivation to continue abstaining after I finish this medication.
My dad and stepmom are coming to visit today from Springfield, MO today! I'm so excited to have them stay with me. Now that my kids are all gone, I have lots of room for visitors. They are so fun to be with. I'm having a little Super Bowl gathering this afternoon, making protein snacks and having others bring the carby stuff that other people like to eat.
Enjoying some new dark roast coffee beans I bought yesterday, listening to music on Spotify, going for a hike after coffee, life is pretty good!

WOW, I didn't say anything yesterday on your journal because I didn't want to jinx you! HAHA. I thought, on it might come back but didn't want to be a bummer. YEAH! IT IS OFF. I quit drinking this last month and I have taken off about 8 pounds. I didn't drink daily, but it lead me to not be good to myself. Have an awesome visit with your stepmom and suber bowl gathering and keep up the amazing work!

Great news about the loss sticking :) I'm following in your footsteps with the no alcohol thing - it IS tough sometimes, especially when others around you have a drink in hand but I guess it's just one more hurdle to overcome. I'm thinking that, if that is one of the things that is holding back my weight loss, I can give it up for a while. And simply being mindful of its effects on our weight is progress in and of itself. Sounds like you have a nice plan going for today. Enjoy!
